I eat healthy but still gain weight, why?
-There are times and amounts you should eat and when you exceed your daily intake and don't exercise then simply, you will get overweight. Have you ever thought why 'Cows eat grass and still get fat'? Well simply eating well is NOT enough.
P.s (those diet pills are bull crap - thought you should know).
I lift weights and don't seem to grow muscle, why?
-There are many variables to this answer varying from simple facts like genetics, nutrition or even routines. Here's where you need a routine set for you, this includes nutrition. But here are the basics in straight forward points-
-Macros(Protein, Carbs, fats) should be measured & recorded.
-Sleep early, wake up early.
-Routines should be changed every 3 weeks.
-Research what muscle groups your working out and avoid training them twice a week (break down body muscle groups to minimize risk of over training).
-Supplements are exactly that, supplements. Eat REAL food! Supplements only assist.
-Secret to loosing or gaining weight is... Wait for it... There is none. It's been told 1000 times over, work hard.
-Cardio should be limited to 10 min before workout.
-Post workout meal should consist of fast digestive carbs e.g sweet potato and protein e.g lean beef. Whey protein is appropriate right after the workout.
-Cardio alone won't loose the fat and keep it off, you need to lift weights and grow those muscles to maintain the lean body you've worked hard for.
Now we have a few pointers ready for you to learn and follow but let's get a couple things out of the way. One, the body can only handle so much, so don't go bashing it with 1hr cardio sessions 7 days a week or even twice a day. Take it easy and rest.
For weight lifters, limit your workouts to 1.5hrs and enjoy a rest day with less carbs then a workout day.
Those loosing weight, remember your using a lot of legs for those cardio classes at the gym so they need to rest and the bodies nervous system is taking a beating so chill out. Enjoy life a little and explore the world of fitness, it has a lot of variety.
